Winery: Château Saint Martin
Provence has a long wine-growing history that begins before the arrival of the Romans and remains of this very rich past can be found on the very property of Château Saint Martin. As part of the very select club of the Crus Classés in the Côte de Provence appellation, Château de Saint Martin has almost always been passed on from mother to daughter and offers a beautiful range of delicious rosé wines.
We have chosen to magnify our Provençal aperitif with one of their great wines, the Grande Réserve 2021, a top rosé made from Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan and Syrah, which marks Provençal excellence. A clear and brilliant peachy vine colour, the nose offers floral (jasmine) and white peach and cherry notes. The palate is full and velvety, almost silky, on summer fruits with a long and very enveloping finish. We really fell in love with this well-balanced rosé which offers everything we love about a great rosé from Provence, a nice freshness but enough structure to accompany tasty Provençal appetizers!
If you never had the chance to check why Provence’s rosé have reached such a great reputation, it is time for an amazing discovery. Tasting temperature: 10-12º C
Artisan: La Goulettoise.
One taste of this delicious artichoke spread and we were hooked. The incredibly delicate flavour and texture of this splendid concoction brings out the best in the already magnificent artichokes. For maximum enjoyment, spread it on toast or use it in a vinaigrette drizzled over vegetables or a savoury panna cotta. If you're not an artichoke fan, you soon will be!
Artisan: La Goulettoise.
Continuing our jaunt across southern France, we bring you a savoury, subtly seasoned concoction. This Mediterranean recipe is a delicious, natural, healthy way to enjoy nature's bounty: aubergines, green olives and some condiments whose combination is kept secret, working in perfect harmony.
We recommend eating it as a dip with pieces of pita bread.
Producer: Le Temps des Mets.
This original goat cheese and basil spread is sure to delight your guests, adding colour and flavour to any gourmet moment.
Made using artisan methods by a small local producer in Six Fours les Plages, it contains Figs, goat cheese, and spices: just a delicious fresh and tasty mix when served on toasts.
Artisan: Biscuiterie Apiflor.
We made our way to a village called Madic, on the border between the départements of Cantal and Corrèze, where we met an artisan who makes delicious traditional biscuits in bronze moulds. Genuine goat cheese and rosemary is added to the biscuit dough for a truly unique flavour. Ideal for nibbling with a glass of wine from your gourmet box—a crisp gourmet treat!
Serving suggestion: to bring out the full flavour of these biscuits, bake them in the oven 2-3 minutes before serving.
Producer: Les Oréliades.
Bask in the warm southern sun a little while longer with this terrine scented with lavender, Provence's most famous flower. The deliciously aromatic blossom adds a hint of freshness to the mixture, making it the perfect way to liven up an ordinary salad.
Surprise your guests with this cheerful, original combination!
Artisan: Les Oréliades, Catrice Gourmet.
Located in Provence, Var, the family business Catrice Gourmet produces Provencal specialties using all-natural products in the purest local culinary tradition.
This olive "puree" is made from green olives coarsely ground. Almonds are then added. This olivade is a morsel of Provence that's sure to delight and amaze your guests at any summer hors-d'oeuvres party.
At La Gourmet Box, we're all about thoughtful details, which is why we've tucked some surprises among these delicious Provençal products to make your feast of Provence delicacies truly memorable.

Every month, we have our new gourmet boxes tested by independent testers (we don't pay them! We just ship them one of our new gourmet basket…), specialized in the world of gourmet boxes to get external advice (we would obviously put 10/10 each time...) and make our latest gourmet baskets known, because we are proud of them, and because we must play the game of criticism....
This month, our Provence gourmet Hors d'oeuvres Box in La Box du Mois website: excellent rating !
